RAS AL KHAIMAH, 12th February 2025 – In a step towards expanding economic collaboration, H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, welcomed Luis A. Molina Chacon, Vice Minister of Expenditures at the Ministry of Finance of Costa Rica, at his palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City.
The meeting was also attended by His Excellency Francisco Chacón Hernández, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, whose diplomatic insights and contributions added significant value to the discussions
Sheikh Saud reaffirmed the strong and growing ties between the UAE and Costa Rica, emphasizing the potential for deeper economic, trade, and investment partnerships. Discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation to drive sustainable development and create new opportunities for businesses in both regions.
Costa Rica, a dynamic and investment-friendly economy known for its strategic location in Central America, offers vast opportunities in sectors such as renewable energy, technology, tourism, and sustainable agriculture. Vice Minister Molina Chacon highlighted Costa Rica’s commitment to fostering stronger trade and investment relations with Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE, tapping into the emirate’s expanding global influence and economic diversification efforts.
He also praised Ras Al Khaimah’s remarkable cultural and economic growth, recognizing it as a key player in the region. Expressing gratitude for the warm hospitality, he reiterated Costa Rica’s eagerness to build strategic alliances that benefit both nations.
