Ito Bisonó Assumes New Leadership Role at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Dominican Republic

In a significant development for the Dominican Republic’s diplomatic landscape, Ito Bisonó has formally taken on the challenge of leading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following a productive working meeting with outgoing Minister Roberto Álvarez, Bisonó now steps into his new position with a clear vision for the country’s international relations.

Ito Bisonó emphasized his commitment to strengthening the Dominican Republic’s role on the international stage, stating:
“We begin this new stage with the firm intention to continue strengthening our country’s presence globally, always defending our interests and promoting new opportunities for Dominicans. I assume this responsibility with commitment, a sense of state, and the conviction that foreign policy must also mean more opportunities and well-being for our people. We move forward, working for a stronger and better-positioned Dominican Republic.” — Ito Bisonó

This new chapter for the Ministry comes at a crucial time as the Dominican Republic seeks to bolster its influence, defend national interests, and open avenues for international cooperation and investment. Bisonó’s remarks highlight a strategy that not only focuses on diplomacy but also on translating these efforts into tangible benefits for citizens at home.

Under Bisonó’s leadership, the Ministry aims to advocate for the country’s priorities, foster partnerships, and create new opportunities that advance the welfare and prosperity of the Dominican population. His approach aligns with a modern understanding of foreign policy, where international engagement serves as a catalyst for economic growth, cultural exchange, and social development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is expected to continue its trajectory of proactive diplomacy and dynamic representation under this new administration. As Ito Bisonó assumes his duties, stakeholders both within and outside the Dominican Republic will be watching closely, anticipating initiatives that further integrate the nation into the global community.
