ProColombia Showcases the Beauty of Colombian Tourism in Saudi Arabia
At TOURISE 2025, the Colombian government, through ProColombia and with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism (MINCIT) and the Vice Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, is currently spearheading a strong promotion of Colombian tourism in Saudi Arabia. Under the campaign #ElPaisDeLaBelleza, Colombia positions itself as a premier destination for international visitors seeking natural wonders, vibrant culture, and unique experiences.
During recent events in Saudi Arabia, Colombia’s delegation, which also included representatives from the Chancellery, highlighted the country’s diverse tourism offerings. From its world-famous coffee region to the historic streets of Cartagena and the lush Amazon rainforest, Colombia captivated Saudi tourism professionals and investors.
The goal, according to Alonso Soria, from procolombia, is to “connect the essence and beauty of Colombia—its landscapes, people, and warmth—with new markets that value authenticity and unforgettable experiences.”
This initiative not only supports Colombia’s efforts to diversify its tourism markets but also strengthens diplomatic and commercial ties between Colombia and the Middle East.
Colombia’s presence at international tourism showcases, including those in the Gulf region, continues to boost its image as a country of rich biodiversity, heritage, and hospitality. The combined efforts of the MINCIT, ProColombia, and the Colombian Foreign Ministry underline a national commitment to sustainable and inclusive tourism growth.
