President Daniel Noboa of the Republic of Ecuador welcomed Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, during an official visit by a UAE delegation. The primary aim of this visit was to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise in the areas of oversight, integrity, and anti-corruption.
During the visit, the UAE delegation conducted a series of high-level bilateral meetings with senior Ecuadorian officials. Key figures included Xavier Mauricio Torres, Comptroller General of Ecuador; Andrés Xavier Fantoni Baldeón, President of the Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control; and José Julio Neira, Secretary-General for Public Integrity. Discussions centered on enhancing collaboration to advance transparency and accountability in public institutions.
This trip forms part of the UAE Accountability Authority’s broader strategy to expand its strategic partnerships both regionally and internationally. By engaging with global counterparts, the Authority seeks to advance oversight mechanisms and promote the highest standards of integrity and transparency in alignment with global best practices.
