UAE Government Explores AI Innovations in US Visit

The UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence are spearheading a significant initiative by organizing a visit to the United States . This ambitious endeavor sees a delegation of over 50 representatives , including Chief AI Officers and leaders from federal and local government entities, embarking on a mission to gain firsthand experience of the latest global developments in Agentic AI . The objective is to explore advanced models and practices across leading technology companies and academic institutions.

The visit's primary aim is to leverage global knowledge and expertise to align Government capabilities with the cutting-edge advancements in Agentic AI . This initiative seeks to forge partnerships that can expedite the adoption of Agentic AI across government services and operations. Ultimately, this effort supports the UAE Government’s ambitious goal of transforming 50% of government sectors into Agentic AI-powered models within the next two years.

Over a span of five days , the Chief AI Officers will engage in their second international mission. The focus will be on emerging trends, applications in Agentic AI , and the advanced practices developed by renowned tech and academic institutions. This knowledge exchange is vital for translating global expertise into tangible advancements for the UAE Government .

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasized in a statement: "Our focus is on empowering Chief AI Officers to lead the development and adoption of artificial intelligence across government by expanding their knowledge partnerships, deepening their exposure to advanced global models, and translating knowledge into practical pathways aligned with the priorities of their respective entities."

The visit promises a series of strategic meetings with leading technology companies and academic institutions, including heavyweights like Dell Technologies , NVIDIA , Salesforce , Google , and Microsoft . These interactions are designed to explore the latest applications in Agentic AI and the opportunities and challenges of large-scale deployment. Stanford University and the Institute of Foundation Models at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence will also play pivotal roles in this knowledge exchange.

In preparation for the visit, a comprehensive preparatory meetup was organized. This session outlined the visit program, key destinations, and priority areas, ensuring that participants are well-prepared to maximize the visit's impact.

The Chief AI Officers' international visits exemplify the UAE’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technological transformation.
