Although first reported over the past year, the proposed Stargate Argentina project continues to make headlines. OpenAI, led by Sam Altman, has been linked to plans for a potential US$25 billion AI center in Argentina. If realized, the ambitious initiative would represent OpenAI’s first Stargate hub in Latin America and could become one of the largest technology projects in Argentina’s history.

The proposed project, named Stargate Argentina, would be OpenAI’s first Stargate hub in Latin America and stands to become one of the most significant technology initiatives in Argentina’s history. The facility’s high-performance computers would support the training and operation of next-generation AI systems intended for use across the region.
