ProChile Celebrates 51 Years: A New Chapter for Chilean Innovation on the Global Stage

In the context of ProChile’s 51st anniversary , the organization has presented a comprehensive overview of its progress between 2023 and 2025 , outlined strategies for 2026 , and marked a significant milestone with the launch of Chile’s international innovation narrative .

The past years have been dynamic for Chilean exports, with export figures surpassing US$100 billion , sustained growth in the services sector , and a surge in SMEs participating in international trade . ProChile's robust promotion agenda has brought Chilean products and services to new markets and territories , reinforcing Chile's position as a global player. These achievements are the result of public-private partnerships, consistent effort, and a focus on diversification .

Looking to the future, innovation stands at the forefront of Chile’s global agenda. A substantial step forward was taken today with the launch of Chile’s international innovation narrative . This initiative, led by ProChile and featuring a pivotal role from the Fundación Imagen de Chile , was the product of broad collaboration among multiple public and private organizations within the Chilean innovation ecosystem.

The new narrative aims to communicate to the world that Chile does not only export products, but also solutions, talent, and knowledge . By repositioning itself beyond raw materials, Chile aspires to be recognized for its capacity for innovation and its vibrant knowledge economy .

IGNACIO FERNANDEZ , who spearheaded the initiative, extended gratitude to key collaborators who contributed to this project: María Teresa Saldías, Pablo Zamora, Mónica Retamal, Carlos Honorato, Wilson Pais, Ariel Gringas, Iván Vera, José Miguel Benavente, Paula González, Javiera Araneda, Florencia Mesa, Janet Torres, Francisco Mardones, Jean Jacques Duhart, Claudia Barriga, Emilio Hernández, Flavia Perazzo, Claudia Jorquera, Camila Postigo, Nicolás Uranga, and Cristián Velasco .

As a practical resource, the international innovation narrative is made available for download, encouraging stakeholders to utilize and share it worldwide. The narrative, accessible through this link , is expected to enhance Chile’s reputation as an innovative economy and spur further opportunities for Chilean enterprises.

In a further effort to promote Chilean exports, ProChile announced the premiere of their new podcast, "Pasaporte Exportador," set for release on December 16 , providing an additional platform to share Chile’s export success stories and insights on global commerce.
