The newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the United Mexican States, H.E. Salem Al Owais, officially presented his credentials to the President of Mexico, H.E. Claudia Sheinbaum, during a formal ceremony held at the National Palace in Mexico City.
The ceremony marked a significant moment in the ongoing diplomatic relationship between the UAE and Mexico, underscoring the commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation in various fields including trade, investment, culture, and renewable energy.
Ambassador Salem Al Owais conveyed to President Claudia Sheinbaum the greetings and well wishes of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. He reaffirmed the UAE’s keenness to enhance bilateral ties and strengthen strategic collaboration with Mexico.
President Claudia Sheinbaum, in turn, welcomed the UAE Ambassador and conveyed his own greetings to the UAE leadership. He expressed Mexico’s appreciation for the growing partnership between both countries and voiced optimism about expanding avenues of cooperation.
The UAE and Mexico have enjoyed robust diplomatic relations since the establishment of formal ties in 1975. In recent years, the two countries have strengthened their engagement through high-level visits, economic agreements, and joint initiatives in sustainable development.
