In a high-level meeting, Paraguay’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, held talks with his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meeting, which also included the presence of Carolin Konther López, Paraguay’s Ambassador to the UAE, and Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, focused on key topics to enhance bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two nations.
Advancing Strategic Projects
The ministers highlighted the importance of ongoing infrastructure projects in Paraguay, such as the commuter train and the international airport. These initiatives were recognized as key drivers of the country’s economic growth and potential areas of interest for Emirati participation through strategic investments.
Ambassador Carolin Konther López brought a comprehensive perspective on how these projects could benefit from local knowledge and connections, facilitating future strategic alliances.
