Paraguay Appoints New Ambassador to Strengthen Ties with the UAE, In a strategic move to foster diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates.
The Senate of Paraguay has granted constitutional agreement for the appointment of Carolin Konther López as the new diplomatic representative. This decision comes as part of Paraguay’s ongoing efforts to enhance its presence in the Middle East and foster bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
Konther López, who brings a fresh perspective based on humanistic values, has outlined a comprehensive work proposal that encompasses four fundamental areas: diplomatic policy, economic investment, academia, and cultural tourism.
She expressed a keen desire to work on signing bilateral cooperation agreements in different areas of interest, building on the trust and brotherhood that unite the leaders of both nations, with the support of the National Congress.
The new ambassador also emphasized her commitment to prioritizing the needs of Paraguayan residents and visitors in the UAE, ensuring they have easy access to the services offered by the embassy within a framework of preventive policy.
This appointment marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between Paraguay and the UAE, following the presentation of credentials by Paraguayan diplomat José Agüero Ávila at the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in June 2022, as the first ambassador of the Republic of Paraguay based in Abu Dhabi.
With this new leadership, Paraguay aims to open new avenues for collaboration, enriching the cultural exchange and economic opportunities between the two countries.
