The event will mark Martin’s first-ever show in Abu Dhabi, making his UAE capital debut more than three decades after he launched his career with the release of his debut album in 1991.
The iconic Puerto Rican artist, often dubbed the “King of Latin Pop,” has been instrumental in reshaping the global music scene by bringing Latin music and culture into the worldwide mainstream. His influence was most recently honored when he received the inaugural Latin Icon Award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards. His powerful performance during the ceremony, which included his enduring hit “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” led to him going viral, further cementing his legacy as one of music’s true generational icons.
In a remarkable testament to the timelessness of his music, “Livin’ la Vida Loca” recently returned to the top of Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart (week of 20 September 2025)—over 25 years after the song’s original release. Over the course of his career, Martin has earned more than 180 awards for his work, which spans a diverse and beloved discography including hits like “The Cup of Life,” “María,” “Vente Pa’Ca,” “La Mordidita,” and “Vuelve.”
