UAE and Latin American, Caribbean Ambassadors Explore Enhanced Financial and Economic Cooperation
Dubai, 30th July, 2025 – Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, convened a meeting with Francisco Chacón Hernández, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, and several ambassadors representing Latin American and Caribbean countries. Held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Dubai, the discussions centered on broadening financial, economic, and development cooperation between the UAE and the ambassadorial group.
Organized upon the initiative of the Costa Rican Embassy acting on behalf of the Latin American and Caribbean Group of Ambassadors, the session underscored the significance of positioning the region as strategic partners for the UAE. Key topics included expanding bilateral cooperation through the exchange of knowledge and experience, and establishing sustainable communication channels that mirror shared development aspirations spanning various sectors.
Al Hussaini highlighted the robust financial and economic relations uniting the UAE with Latin American and Caribbean countries. He emphasized that deepening collaboration with the group supports the UAE’s strategic vision to enhance regional financial stability and drive sustainable development with partner nations.
In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed the necessity for ongoing coordination and consultation to fortify bilateral relations and consolidate the foundations of joint cooperation with the Latin American and Caribbean countries.
