EDGE Group Debuts at FIDAE 2026, Expands Presence in Latin America
EDGE Group will make its first appearance at FIDAE 2026 in Chile, strengthening its presence in the Latin American defence sector. From 7th to 12th April, the company will present an extensive portfolio of cutting-edge solutions across air, land, and cyber domains, furthering its integrated, multi-domain approach to modern defence.
Omar Al Zaabi stated, “Our debut at FIDAE highlights EDGE’s expanding role in Latin America’s defence technology landscape. Building on our existing partnerships in the region, EDGE has positioned itself to offer highly disruptive systems while supporting local economic growth and technology development opportunities.”
Chile’s unique geography requires integrated surveillance and security solutions, and EDGE aims to deliver broad technological capabilities in support of both national and civil security objectives.
In the air domain, EDGE will feature unmanned aerial systems (UASs) designed for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR), including loitering systems and precision-guided munitions (PGMs). Noteworthy displays will include the HT-100 unmanned helicopter and the REACH-S medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAS.
For land operations, EDGE is set to showcase its AJBAN MK2 and HAFEET MK2 armoured vehicles, engineered for mobility, protection, and effectiveness across diverse terrains.
In the realm of cyber defence, EDGE will feature secure communications solutions that ensure resilient and protected operations, shielding sensitive networks from digital threats. Among these offerings is KATIM’s ultra-secure communications suite, designed for mission-critical applications.
EDGE will also demonstrate electronic warfare systems intended to safeguard operations in contested electromagnetic environments. Highlights include the BORDERSHIELD autonomous border surveillance and security system, plus the GPS PROTECT 2 and GPS PROTECT 4 anti-jamming solutions.
The company’s stand will also display non-lethal technologies designed for public safety and civil security operations.
EDGE’s participation at FIDAE signifies an ongoing commitment to partnership with regional security forces and organisations. Earlier in March, EDGE signed a Letter of Intent with the Ministry of National Defence of Ecuador for a major security infrastructure programme, which will focus on modernising surveillance systems and strengthening border protection capabilities.
