Ecuador Captivates International Buyers at Gulfood with Exceptional Products.Ecuador is participating in Gulfood 2026, one of the most influential global gatherings in the food and beverage sector, bringing together more than 100,000 industry professionals from nearly 90 countries, including international buyers, distributors, producers, and global trade decision-makers.
Ecuador’s participation is carried out through PRO ECUADOR (@proecuador), the country’s official export and investment promotion agency, which operates under the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries (@produccionecu). This effort is coordinated in collaboration with the Ecuador–United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce (CCEATI), led by trade expert Agustín Ontaneda, a seasoned professional with extensive experience connecting Latin American and Gulf markets, and with the support of the Embassy of Ecuador in the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪.
The Ecuadorian pavilion was officially inaugurated by H.E. Felipe Ribadeneira, Ambassador of Ecuador to the United Arab Emirates, underscoring the strong institutional backing behind Ecuador’s international trade strategy and its commitment to strengthening commercial ties with the Gulf region.
This joint effort has enabled the implementation of various trade promotion and positioning initiatives, showcasing Ecuadorian products to buyers from different regions worldwide and strengthening the country’s visibility as a reliable supplier of high-quality food products.
With more than three decades of history, Gulfood has consolidated its position as a strategic platform for international trade, where trends are anticipated, commercial agreements are finalized, and connections between established markets and emerging economies are strengthened. The 2026 edition, held from January 26 to 30 in Dubai, once again reaffirmed the city’s role as a key global hub linking Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.
Ecuador’s presence at this international forum responds to a global market integration strategy based on credibility, operational consistency, and compliance with international standards—key factors for competing in highly demanding markets. This participation is represented by a delegation composed of executives and representatives from Ecuadorian food-sector companies, reflecting the diversity, scale, and maturity of the country’s export offering.
The delegation includes representatives from the following companies:
- Pronaca
- ENVASUR S.A.
- ALIMENTOS SNOB – SIPIA S.A.
- Gala Export
- TECOPESCA
- Waykana Guayusa
- TONICORP
- Naniecheandia S.L. S.A.
- SG Consulting LLC
- Global Cocoa Ltd
This group of stakeholders conveys a clear message: Ecuador does not participate in these platforms on an individual basis, but rather as an integrated ecosystem, where the private sector, institutional support, and strategic vision converge to position the country as a reliable, competitive supplier aligned with global trade dynamics.

In an international environment characterized by high standards, intense competition, and the need for constant adaptation, Ecuador’s participation in Gulfood 2026 contributes to strengthening the country’s reputation, generating investment opportunities, and promoting productive linkages with a positive impact on employment and economic development.
