Founded in 2009 in Chile’s renowned Colchagua Valley, Goodvalley has built a fully integrated model that allows the company to control every stage of the value chain, from orchard to international markets. With modern facilities and more than 50 gas ovens, Goodvalley produces and exports over 6,000 tons of prunes, alongside dried cherries, walnuts, and almonds, guaranteeing top quality, consistency, and full traceability. In this interview, Bruno Ceroni shares insights into Goodvalley’s integrated approach, its commitment to excellence, and how the company positions itself as a reliable supplier for demanding global markets.
Can you introduce Goodvalley and its diversified export offering?
Goodvalley is a Chilean company specialized in the production, processing, and export of dried fruits and nuts, with a direct integration model working alongside producers located in the Colchagua Valley and surrounding areas. Our offering includes dried prunes, dried cherries, walnuts, almonds, and raisins, available in different formats for bulk, retail channels, and market-specific specifications. In recent years, we have expanded our product portfolio and made investments in quality, processing, and packaging, allowing us to serve both traditional markets and new value-added opportunities.
How does private label production support your clients’ brands?
Private label production is a strategic part of our business. We work collaboratively with our clients, adapting to their quality requirements, formats, presentations, and the specific regulations of each market. Our role is to be a reliable partner that supports the client’s brand identity and positioning, ensuring consistency, traceability, regulatory compliance, and quality aligned with both client and end-consumer expectations. Chile offers unique conditions for the production of dried fruits and nuts: a privileged natural environment, high sanitary standards, and a strong export-oriented culture. At Goodvalley, we believe in long-term commercial relationships built on trust, transparency, and consistent quality—values that are especially relevant for the Gulf market.
What trends are shaping demand for dried fruits and nuts?
We observe growing demand for healthy, natural products from reliable origins. Consumers are looking for ingredients with less processing, no unnecessary additives, strong traceability, and international quality standards. In the dried fruit and nut segment, there is also increasing interest in convenient formats, portion-controlled packaging, and products suited to different lifestyles, creating opportunities in both bulk and retail channels.
How do you ensure flexibility between bulk and retail formats?
We have processes and packaging lines that allow us to offer flexibility between industrial bulk formats and retail presentations. This gives us the ability to adapt quickly to the needs of each client and market, whether for distribution, foodservice, or direct-to-consumer sales. Our production structure is designed to support our clients’ growth and respond effectively to changes in demand.
What role does the Gulf play in your expansion strategy?
The Gulf region is a key pillar of our international expansion strategy. It is a dynamic market with demanding consumers and a growing appetite for high-quality products from reliable origins. We see the Gulf—and particularly the UAE—as a strategic platform both for local consumption and for redistribution to other regional markets. Gulfood is a fundamental opportunity to strengthen relationships and generate new commercial opportunities.
