Argentina and Qatar Launch Polo AlMarsa: Bridging Cultures Through Sport
In a significant move that highlights the growing relationship between Argentina and Qatar, the Qatar Polo Club has announced the official launch of Polo AlMarsa. The event, unveiled during a press conference attended by dignitaries from both nations, is the result of a collaboration with Doha Ports, Years of Culture, and Visit Qatar. This marks a landmark initiative within the framework of the Argentina-Qatar Year of Culture 2025.
From December 11th to 13th, the Old Doha Port, near the city’s cruise terminal, will transform into a hub of equestrian excellence. Over the course of three days, top-tier polo players from Argentina will participate in world-class exhibition matches, showcasing their talents on fields specially constructed beside the sea. This unprecedented event not only signifies the introduction of professional polo in Qatar, but also establishes a new platform for promoting the sport’s growing popularity across the region.
