Strengthening Ties: Guatemala and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development Discuss Collaborative Opportunities
Guatemala and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) are exploring new avenues of partnership following a significant meeting held to advance mutual interests in international cooperation and project financing. The discussions were attended by representatives from ADFD’s Operations and Americas division, H.E. Jorge Archila, Ambassador of Guatemala to the United Arab Emirates, and Jose Bassila, Counsellor at the Embassy of Guatemala in the United Arab Emirates.
The ADFD, recognized as the entity responsible for chan neling international cooperation and project financing in Abu Dhabi, plays a pivotal role in supporting sustainable development initiatives around the globe. The meeting focused on the identification of projects of high strategic value to Guatemala, targeting sectors such as health, energy, infrastructure, and education.
“We discussed the different steps to identify projects of interest in Guatemala in health, energy, infrastructure, and education,” said Jose Bassila during the exchange of insights.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards fostering economic growth and enhanced bilateral relations between Guatemala and the United Arab Emirates. Both parties emphasized the need for well-defined strategies and targeted actions to ensure the successful realization of projects that can deliver tangible benefits to communities in Guatemala.
