This recognition underscores his strategic leadership and enduring contribution to the aviation industry across the Middle East and Africa.
The Airline Strategy Awards, now in their 21st edition, are organised by FlightGlobal in partnership with Korn Ferry and are judged by an independent panel of respected industry experts. These awards are celebrated globally for showcasing excellence in airline leadership and strategic innovation.
This year’s award highlights Ghaith Al Ghaith’s remarkable role in transforming flydubai since its inception in 2008. Under his leadership, the airline has become one of the region’s most dynamic carriers, expanding its network to more than 135 destinations across 58 countries. Notably, over 100 of these destinations were previously underserved markets—locations that either lacked direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE carrier.
