UAE Ambassador Presents Credentials to Ecuadorian Foreign Minister

QUITO, 2nd June 2025 – Ibrahim Salem Al Alawi presented a copy of his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Non-Resident Plenipotentiary of the UAE to the Republic of Ecuador, during a formal meeting with Gabriela Sommerfeld, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador, at the headquarters of the Ministry in Quito, the capital.

Al Alawi conveyed the greetings of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of Ecuador.

He also expressed his pride in representing the UAE in Ecuador, affirming his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations across various sectors to further strengthen ties between the two nations.

For her part, Gabriela Sommerfeld conveyed her greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and extended her hopes for continued growth and success for the government and people of the UAE.

She also wished the Ambassador success in his mission, underlining her country’s willingness to provide all possible support to facilitate his diplomatic duties.

During the meeting, both sides discussed existing and potential areas of cooperation between the UAE and Ecuador, exploring ways to advance mutual interests and fulfill the aspirations of both countries and their peoples.
