source: wam

In a strategic push to elevate Ecuador’s global alliances, President Daniel Noboa met with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today in Abu Dhabi, reinforcing his commitment to advancing Ecuador’s presence in key international markets.

Held at Qasr Al Shati, the high-level meeting underscored the shared ambition of both nations to deepen collaboration across critical sectors such as trade, renewable energy, investment, tourism, agriculture, and sustainability. With a focus on creating mutual prosperity, both leaders highlighted the importance of innovation-driven partnerships to address global challenges and unlock new opportunities.

President Noboa, who was warmly received by the UAE leadership, was congratulated once again on his re-election—recognition of his bold vision and decisive leadership steering Ecuador towards growth and global relevance.

The two presidents reaffirmed their mutual aspiration to transform the UAE-Ecuador relationship into a strategic bridge between Latin America and the Middle East, leveraging each country’s strengths in economic development, clean energy, and regional cooperation. Discussions also touched on regional and international issues of mutual concern, with both leaders advocating for global peace, stability, and inclusive progress.

President Noboa expressed deep appreciation for the UAE’s hospitality and stressed Ecuador’s determination to strengthen its ties with the Emirates, positioning the country as a key Latin American ally for the Gulf region.

The meeting was attended by several high-ranking UAE officials and a distinguished Ecuadorian delegation, reflecting the importance of this bilateral dialogue.

As Ecuador redefines its international footprint, President Noboa’s leadership continues to open doors to meaningful global partnerships—placing Ecuador firmly on the map as a nation ready to engage, invest, and grow with the world.
