Ecuador and the United Arab Emirates Open New Doors to Trade and Investment

On October 25, the Ecuador United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism (CCEATI) hosted a landmark event titled, “Ecuador and the United Arab Emirates: Investment Opportunity and Business Opening in Dubai.” Celebrated as a resounding success, this event brought together leaders from both nations, highlighting extensive opportunities for collaboration between Ecuador 🇪🇨 and the United Arab Emirates 🇦🇪 and providing critical insights into cross-market partnerships and trade.

Agustín Ontaneda,President of the Ecuador United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism (CCEATI)

Exploring Strategic Insights and Expanding Market Access

During the event, Ecuadorian entrepreneurs engaged with UAE officials and industry leaders in an environment filled with collaboration and learning. The program featured presentations on Dubai’s unique position as a global gateway, showcasing the city’s strategic importance in accessing the GCC market. Dubai’s advantages as a business hub—ranging from cutting-edge logistics and trade-friendly regulations to an extensive consumer network—were highlighted as key drivers that can elevate the global presence of Ecuadorian products. Participants gained valuable strategies to approach the Gulf market and forge commercial alliances, positioning Ecuadorian businesses to leverage Dubai as a launchpad into emerging markets.

Honoring Key Guests and Their Contributions

The event was honored by the presence of prominent figures, including His Excellency Ibrahim Salem Alalawi, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, whose perspective highlighted the UAE’s openness to global partnerships and mutual trade growth. Also present was Sebastián Vargas, Chief Representative for Colombia and Ecuador at the Dubai International Chamber, who shared insights on Dubai’s dedication to strengthening economic connections with Latin American countries. Their contributions underscored the potential for a fruitful and sustainable Ecuador-UAE partnership.

The success of this event was also made possible by the support of esteemed sponsors committed to fostering bilateral economic growth, including SG Consulting LLC, DP World Ecuador, Avitalsa, EDUARDO LÓPEZ ROBAYO from SERTECPET® , Francisco Jarrin Rivadeneira, Easysoft S.A., Audi Ecuador, and ANQURIA CHOCOLATE. Their dedication to Ecuador-UAE relations exemplifies the collaborative spirit that powers our shared goals.

Acknowledging the CCEATI Team’s Dedication

The dedicated CCEATI team, under the leadership of President Agustín Ontaneda, orchestrated every aspect of this event, from coordination to execution, ensuring an environment where attendees could gain knowledge, explore new ventures, and solidify Ecuador’s presence in the UAE. This landmark event serves as a testament to CCEATI’s unwavering commitment to advancing the shared interests of Ecuador and the UAE, laying the foundation for future collaborative endeavors.

About CCEATI and Its Role in Building Bilateral Relations

CCEATI, the Ecuador United Arab Emirates Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Tourism, plays a pivotal role in fostering economic and cultural connections between Ecuador and the UAE. Led by its president, Agustín Ontaneda, CCEATI facilitates trade, supports business expansion, and promotes tourism, all while providing a platform for Ecuadorian companies to navigate the UAE’s competitive landscape. Through events like this, CCEATI enables Ecuadorian entrepreneurs and business leaders to gain firsthand knowledge of the UAE market, connect with potential partners, and understand the nuances of operating in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries. This landmark event, one of many initiatives by CCEATI, underscores its commitment to creating lasting partnerships that advance the economic agendas of both nations.

An Invitation to Explore Boundless Opportunities

With Ecuador and the UAE set on a path of mutual growth, we warmly invite Ecuadorian businesses to embrace the UAE as a destination rich with opportunities.
