Dubai Chamber of Commerce Enhances Business Environment with Key Initiatives and Collaborative Efforts
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers, recently conducted its first quarterly roundtable meeting of Business Groups and Business Councils for 2026 at its headquarters. The gathering focused on the current and future economic landscape of Dubai, shedding light on emerging opportunities across diverse sectors. The session also presented the Chamber’s array of initiatives designed to support the interests of the local private sector.
During the meeting, the Chamber highlighted its ongoing efforts to support the business community and enhance the efficiency of Dubai’s legislative and regulatory environment across all sectors. In 2025 alone, the Chamber reviewed 54 laws and draft laws in collaboration with Business Groups. Recommendations from the private sector achieved an impressive 60% adoption rate. Additionally, the Chamber facilitated 250 meetings with Business Groups and Councils—ranging from routine interactions to annual general meetings. It also organized 15 meetings connecting Business Groups, Business Councils, and key government entities.
In a significant move to broaden international representation, the Chamber established five new Business Councils in 2025 for investors from Bulgaria, Cyprus, Brazil, Slovakia, and Peru. The Dubai Delivery Business Group was also founded to foster the growth of Dubai’s delivery sector, offering a unified platform to promote and protect the interests of delivery companies operating in the emirate.
“As we navigate the evolving global economic landscape, our focus is on empowering the business community to drive sustainable growth and innovation. Business Groups and Councils are vital for forging strategic partnerships that will define Dubai’s future success. We are dedicated to providing the resources and advocacy needed for businesses to adapt to new challenges and thrive, further cementing Dubai’s leadership position on the world stage.” (Maha Al Gargawi)
Advancing the interests of the business community remains a strategic priority for the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber continues to enhance the role of Business Groups in shaping the local legislative landscape and boosting the private sector’s participation in Dubai’s economic competitiveness.
Business Groups and Councils are recognized as instrumental in fostering commercial and economic activity in Dubai. Their contributions ensure representation for all economic sectors and facilitate constructive dialogue between stakeholders and government entities, which in turn helps to improve the business environment and support the emirate’s ongoing economic development.
