Aisén Etcheverry is the Minister of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation of Chile. She holds a law degree from the University of Chile and a Master of Laws from the University of San Francisco, California. Etcheverry has extensive experience in digital technologies and public policies, particularly in science, technology, and innovation (CTCI). Throughout her career, she has spearheaded key initiatives related to personal data protection, open access to knowledge, and information management technologies, including big data.
In her public service career, she has held pivotal roles, including being the first Director of the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID) and the Executive Director of CORFO’s Digital Transformation Committee. She also led the Public Policy Department at INAPI, advising on international intellectual property negotiations. Before her ministerial role, she served as the President of the National Council for Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation (CTCI).
