EDGE Group seeks to consolidate its presence in the region through its wide range of solutions and products for the Latin American Armed Forces
One of the companies that has been attracting the most attention in recent years is Edge Group. The United Arab Emirates conglomerate Unidades has been developing various unmanned systems, as well as other solutions for the Armed and Security Forces. In view of the potential of its product portfolio, the firm has been present in Sao Paulo to participate in the LAAD 2024 International Defense and Security Fair.
Edge Group brought to LAAD 2024 part of its wide range of electronic warfare and command and control systems, individual weapons from the Caracal firm, including pistols, rifles and sniper rifles, as well as presenting the important production capacities for projectiles of various calibers that it has for this last item. The presence of unmanned aerial vehicles of various types also stands out.
Recent agreements are listed with the Brazilian Armed Forces, as well as with companies, the most notable case being that reached with SIATT for the development of a new extended range version of the Brazilian Navy’s MANSUP anti-ship missile.
In the coming months, EDGE indicated that they would carry out a series of visits to more countries in the region, one of these being the Argentine Republic. Among the objectives of this visit, Edge Group seeks to understand the requirements of the Argentine Armed Forces, while presenting its wide range of products and solutions, which can also be extended to the level of shipbuilding and Security Forces.
